INTERPRETING WALLS – A walk around Pevensey 40 mins with Rod interpreting some of the hidden history of the village. FREE Meet outside the Court House.

MEET WINSTON CHURCHILL – presented by Tony Harris well known speaker and comedian 7.30 FREE

OVERNIGHT STAY in the GAOL CELLS – four brave volunteers to stay overnight in the Gaol Cells – fancy a night in the cells (there is coffee and tea and a cloakroom) Fun or maybe a way to raise some money ?? 10.30pm FREE

Saturday 22nd

ARTS and CRAFTS – ‘Time and Tide’ displays from local arts and crafts group, lots for sale. Come and take a look. at St Nicolas, all day

MINI PILGRIMAGE 10.30 MEET St Wilfred’s Church Pevensey Bay  – a gentle and reflective walk to Westham, Pevensey and back stopping occasionally for a brief reading/prayer – Rev. Clive

NORMAN LORDS OF PEVENSEY 1pm  a talk by Peter Harrison at the Mint House FREE

THE AMSTERDAM VOC and some BEXHILL SMUGGLERS 3pm Talk by James Murphy at the Mint House FREE

PEVENSEY GHOST WALK Learn about some of the darker things lurking in the Castles shadows led by Robert local ghost walk guide, author 7.30 from the CastleCar Park Adults £12 u/14 £6

WEDNESDAY 26th

JOIN ENGLISH HERITAGE GUIDE COLIN TORODE FOR A GUIDED WALK (11am) of Pevensey Castle’s outer Bailey exploring the sites remarkable history from its origins in 3rd century Roman revolt , through Anglo Saxons and Norman, to the four medieval sieges plus its refortification during WWII. 1700 years of history in a walking tour of 1 1/4 hours. Meet by the Bridge outside castle gatehouse. Entry to inner Bailey not included but tickets can be purchased after the walk (EH members free)

12.30 RE-ENACTMENT OF PEVENSEY TALES AND THE EXECUTION BY DROWNING OF PRISONER  FILENSON ! Meet at the market Square and then Parade Down to the River !!
